The Fire Conclave Council is delighted to announce that the Intention period for participating in the 2023 Fire Conclave is NOW OPEN. The submission period closes March 1, 2023 @ Noon PST.
Join us on Zoom for an informal Q & A session (aka Sit and Spin…) Anyone interested in participating in the Fire Conclave as a performer, safety, documentarian or group leader (Shin) is invited to join and ask questions (which we may not know the answer to).

Regardless of if you have done this before or not it’s a good time to review what it takes to participate. We have updated the document we like to call “So you wanna be a Shin”, which describes what it takes to lead a fire group through the audition process and perform in the Great Circle before the Man burns. Even if you don’t intend to lead a group this document is helpful for anyone who wants to understand the process.

All fire performers, and fire watch — whether with a group or not — are encouraged to subscribe to the Fire Conclave announce list. Email fireconclave@burningman.org, and tell us something about yourself, what attracted you to fire, how long have you been playing with fire, what kind of tool(s) you utilize, where you live, how many years you’ve attended Burning Man, if you play with a fire group, and anything else you want to express about yourself.

BURNER PROFILE, BURNING MAN TICKETS & VEHICLE PASSES
The Burning Man Ticket page is the best place to get the most up-to-date and accurate information about ticketing options. You must be pre-registered through the Burner Profile system to participate in any of the ticket sales. (Hint: if you haven’t already, set up your Burner Profile now.) There are many ways to purchase a ticket, so check the Burning Man Ticket page for details.
If you purchase a ticket and then learn that you’ve been accepted into the Fire Conclave, we’d love it if you would use the ticket you already purchased. If you must sell it, we encourage you to sell it through the STEP program or, in the spirit of the 10 Principles you may gift purchased tickets. If you move from your current address please make sure you change it in Burner Profiles.
