How to: Adding our media stream to your stream

We are live 8/30 @ 5:30 PM PST

The Fire Conclave Council will have a 24 hour stream of fire performance and performers that can be used in your virtual camp, twitch, facebook, youtube, or custom personal stream by simply adding it as a source in OBS (for more information see: https://obsproject.com/).

You can then have us as a picture in picture (your DJ, art, camp, vaudeville, and our performers)

**  Adding a video stream via OBS **

Method 1: Use RTMP – This will have the least Latency

  1. Add a media source,
  2. Name it “Fire Conclave Stream” (or whatever you want)
  3. Uncheck “Local file”
  4. Input = rtmp link from above
  5. Input format = “rtmp”
  6. Click OK

Method 2: Use VLC player (must be the 64 bit version)

  1. Add “VLC Video Source”
  2. Name it “The Most Awesome Fire Dancers in the world” or something similar
  3. Visibility Behavior = “Stop when not visible” (this will save you bandwidth)
  4. Playlist
    1. Click the plus symbol on the right hand side and choose path/URL
    2. Add rtmp link of your choice and click OK
  5. Change caching if you want, I usually skip it
  6. Click ok

Method 3: Use a Browser Instance – Lower Quality

  1. Add Browser Source
  2. Make sure “Local file” is unchecked
  3. URL = http://fireconclave.org/stream   or https://www.twitch.tv/fireconclave or https://fireconclave.org/slideshow/
  4. Width = 1280 Height = 720
    1. You can actually put whatever ratio you prefer.
  5. Check “shutdown source when not visible” (save bandwidth)
  6. Click ok

NOTE – if you need to edit or interact with a browser page in OBS, right click the source and choose interact.  This will allow you to hit play, choose full screen, etc. Keep in mind if you turn off the source you will need to reenter the interact screen again.
